Monthly SEV Chamber Build Day with SEV Habitat

The Southeast Volusia Chamber of Commerce hosts a monthly build day for SEV HABITAT FOR HUMANITY. 
All are welcome, you don't need to have any special building "skills" to help. 
The location may vary month to month, please check our website for details. 
Join us the 4th Friday of every month and help build an affordable future for our community!

Please be sure volunteers are prepared by:

• Bringing a hat and wearing Sunglasses
• Wearing Sunscreen and Bug repellant
• Wearing closed toe shoes for safety – work boots or tennis shoes
• Wearing comfortable clothing they do not mind getting dirty
• Not wearing expensive jewelry or items as that could get damaged at the build site

• T-Shirts –Please get shirt sizes 
• Safety Gear and Safety Instruction
• Tools and materials* volunteers are welcome to bring their own if they prefer
• Water and snacks
• Portable latrine on site

• Greet volunteers, ensure they sign a waiver (I have attached a waiver copy in case you want to send to each volunteer in advance- they can bring it completed to the build site) and distribution of Habitat T-Shirts and water
• Welcome Group and Introduction of Construction Staff and each volunteer 
• Group Prayer
• Review of Safety Manual and Procedures  
• Review of Build Site (advise location of Latrine and Refrigerator) and Tasks and Expectations for the day. Remind courtesy and respect with one another and staff during build. Advise where people can smoke and use cell phones. We also request volunteers keep valuables in their locked car
• Group Photo 
• Separate into task groups and begin build 
• Break at 10am with drinks and lite snacks
• Conclude Build at Noon
