World of Economic Development Finance Seminar

The World of Economic Development Finance Seminar with the goals of getting more investment opportunities coming to Volusia County from different financing tools and to let businesses and investors know of these resources to get better traction with key community development projects. This seminar is scheduled for June 16th from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM at the City of Edgewater Council Chambers. This event is also open to the public and will be kicked off by the Volusia County Economic Development Director, Helga Van Eckert, who will share the multiple financing tools available throughout the county. There will also be other guest speakers sharing information on various federal funding opportunities such as Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI), New Market Tax Credits (NMCTC), Opportunity Zones (OZ), Historic Tax Credits and CDFI loans. Other speakers will discuss Tax Incremental Financing (TIF), HUD - Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC), HUD Choice Neighborhoods and Property assessed Clean Energy (PACE) funding.
